Last Year Was a Disaster. This Year Doesn’t Have to Be.
Last year? Disaster.
Your kid barely made it through, you barely made it through, and the school’s big plan for this year is… “let’s just see how it goes.”
Translation: we’re not doing a damn thing unless you make us.
Here’s the secret: schools don’t just “give” kids IEPs because they need them. They wait. They “monitor.” They hope you get tired and go away. And unless you put that request in writing, the legal clock never starts. They could “monitor” until your kid graduates.
I’ve done this for my own three ND kids and for dozens of families. I know exactly how to turn “let’s see how it goes” into “we’ll get right on that” before your kid loses another semester.
That’s why I offer the IEP Start Session. It’s one hour of you and me ripping apart last year’s chaos, pulling every red flag that makes your child eligible, and writing the exact letter that forces the school to start the evaluation process.
